​I prefer the nickname, DJ, because I am a junior.  Nevertheless, my wife and I are striving to cultivate healthy relationships in mid Michigan as a model for other communities.  I have taught in public and private schools, as well as worked for the federal Head Start preschool program as a fatherhood support specialist.  The family events that we facilitate serve as a means to the end that God's enduring love would manifest in the lives of men, women, boys and girls as they engage with each other in Christ-centered activities.  It is the men, the fathers, who must take the initiative to make their families healthy by serving their wives and children through daily acts of sacrificial love.
